100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired Post #20

62. Write an entry in your journal in really LARGE letters

This concludes the swap.  It was a lot more effort then I originally anticipated and I had hoped to finish it before partners were even assigned.  I, however, am quite talented at procrastinating and putting things off and so it's rewarding to just have finished it before the deadline.  I think I need to do more little things like this.  Get in touch with my creative side more.  It was a lot of fun and a great experience.

89. Write about some of the doors in your life (hopefully you can read it...)

71.  Write a list of 10 things you could do. Do the last thing on the list.

7. Expose yourself to a new artist. Write about what moves you about it.

What an amazing artist.  And to think they are only 3 years old!

55. Make pencil rubbings of 6 different surfaces.  From left to right and top to bottom the items are:

  • a part of a reusable shopping bag that says Cats are like potato chips, no one can have just one.
  • the cover of my day planner/agenda
  • the back of my cell phone case
  • one of the mats I have by a door
  • jewelry trinket box
  • the sole of my Sanuk sandals

78. Make prints using food

This was more fun then I expected.  I remember I was having a rough day with anxiety and it was kind of an interesting way to help ease that a bit.  I used a couple different size potato's and different parts of celery and dipped them in paint.  All items were past the point of eating but not rotten so perfect for this task.

85. Cut a random shape out of several layers of magazine.  Make a collage of the results.

70. Do NOTHING

Well, the only way to document my experience of doing nothing was to write about it....this is how it went:

59. List 10 things you would like to do everyday

100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired Post #8

58. List your ten most important things (not including animals or people)

100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired Post #7

#37 List all of the places you've ever lived.

This list isn't overly exciting... I haven't done any major long distance moves but there was awhile I was moving around the city quite a bit.  10 moves in a year and a half!  So thankful that is all behind me.  I don't plan to move again until I can afford to.  For some sort of privacy sake, I didn't post house/building numbers....just the street names and area's within the city.

19. Take 15 minutes to eat an Orange

No pictures of the actual activity...my cat isn't trained to use the camera and oranges are messy... but I'll take a picture of my write up about the experience....

#49 Reasearch a Celebration or Ritual from another culture.

This was actually quite interesting and fun.  I love researching and learning about new things.

100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired Post #4

I started off my fourth item thinking I was doing #34. Fill an Entire page with small circles and color them in but I realized afterwards it actually fits better for #72 Create an image using dots.  I'm not sure which one to officially count it as so I am listing both #'s and counting it as one thing.

33. List 100 Uses for a Tin Can

Well, my third choice was a lot harder then I thought it would be.  I ended up asking my friends on Facebook for ideas, polling my family members on the phone, and searching online (Pineterest was a great help).

20. Write a Haiku is the second thing I picked

I might be a little bit of a crazy cat lady and slightly obsessed about my girl...

100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired Post #1

I'm participating and actually hosting a swap on Swap-bot called 100 Ideas - Keri Smith Inspired.  The idea of this swap is to pick 20 ideas from the list of 100 and complete the tasks in whichever way you interpret them and document it somehow.

The first idea I picked was #2.  Write a letter to yourself in the future.  I actually used a site online called FutureMe.org and picked a date and it will email me the letter on that date in the future.  I don't remember all of what I wrote, but I took a screen capture so that I'd have a way to document that I did this.
